When using the OFS Extension in CET Designer it is recommended that you make your catalog data available offline, just in case you're not connected to the internet when trying to do a layout. In order to do this, follow these simple instructions.

Catalog Browser

To get to the position where you can see the catalogs available offline users must first have the Catalog Browser extension installed in their CET Designer. If you don't see this icon  then you must follow these instructions first. If you have this extension, please skip to the Make Available Offline section below.

To get the catalog browser:

1) Click on the Marketplace icon at the top of your CET Designer menu:

2) Find Catalog Browser in the list of available extensions and click on "Install":

(Note if yours says 'Uninstall' then you currently have the catalog browser installed and can skip to the next section.)

3) Once the marketplace shows that this extension is installed for you...

return to CET Designer and go to Help/Check for Updates:

4) After the updates are downloaded and installed, you will see an option for "Restart with Updates" toward the top of your screen. Click on this to install the catalog browser.

Once CET Designer restarts you should now see the Catalog Browser installed.

Make Available Offline

In order to have all of your OFS and Carolina content available offline users must go to their Catalog Browser and check to make sure their content is marked to do so. Here are the steps to ensure your content is available offline:

1) Click on the Catalogue Browser extension icon.

2) Click on the Catalogues button.

3) Click on All Catalogues in the left side menu.

4) Click on the + next to OFS to expand that catalog selection set. (Note you can do this with Carolina, OFS, Quickship)

5) Click and drag the vertical line between the catalog table of contents, and the product list, dragging the line to the right to expand the TOC area.

6) Click and slide each Make Available Offline toggle to the desired selection for each catalog listed. Repeat for each catalog, in each brand, as desired.

7) Once finishes, simply use the X in the upper right corner to close down the Catalogues dialog box.

Note: If you toggle items so they are not available offline you may not be able to spec those product lines without an internet connection. You can toggle lines you don't use/sell to show as step 6 does above so that you have to be online to use that line. Over time, if you don't access this catalog, CET Designer will remove that content from your machine to free up space. If you go to use it, this content will need to re-download at that time. If you find you're not using catalogs, mark them to the left so they free up space on your machine.
